Astrology is addressed as “Jyotish” in India – Jyot means ‘Light’ and Ish means ‘God’. What is God? God is the ultimate fragrance of your consciousness. And so Jyotish means “Light of Consciousness”. During the ancient times – Jyotish was limited only to a selective class of Brahmins or meditative seers who used to practice Jyotish during their spare time. Because Jyotish or Astrology is just a small part of the vast ocean called spirituality. Remember – Astrology is not above God. And so one who devotes his or her heart towards chanting the holy name of God is always blessed and such a person can overcome the difficult planetary aspects in his or her birth chart.
